Social Media PR Stunts
Working with the team at Glass Eye Inc, we blended reality with CGI to create some fun and attention grabbing social media posts of upcoming TV and film productions.
Shōgun
For the launch of Shogun on the FX channel we had Samurai taking a thunderous stroll around London landmarks. The animated asset was supplied and I comped it into the scenes and gave the effect of it being taken with a phone camera.
Royal Albert Hall
Using the Royal Albert Hall as a venue to show the samurai slowly thundering past. Basic proxy models were created to see how shadows formed. The clip was fairly static with handheld camera shake added afterwards

Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is the location here. The footage was motion tracked so that samurai aligns with the background and was then lit to match the time of day. Once rendered, he was then composited into the footage, behind the buildings and Nelsons Column. The lamp in the foreground that passes adds to the illusion of him being there.
